The highlight of this past weekend was our visit to the history of a remarkable, elite, compassionate, educated Lady. The list goes on. My visit to her home was divinely random. I did not plan it. It just came to heart to celebrate her earth day of 151 years ago. I have to say that I appreciate the inclination because there was much about Ms. Walker that truth be told, I see in myself. Sometimes, God will send us to a place for reconciliation, restoration and healing. And above all, freedom. It's a place of discovery and closure. I hope you enjoy the photos. If you have any questions about the photos, please let us know. If you ever travel to or through Richmond and never seen the neighborhood where Afr. Americans owned businesses and fellowship with notables like the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Maggie Walker's history museum is a great place to start. Black History Museum & Cultural Center is set to open December 2015. That still small voice inside that says there is more in life to experience, I listen to it. I know exactly who it is from. ~ Design Image Courtesy and Credits: Melissa Paige and http://www.nps.gov Photo Journey: https://www.facebook.com/groups/146962768720524/?ref=bookmarks Image: Melissa inside home of Maggie L. Grateful to God. I turn 50 years old in a few days. We've been meditating on Ezekiel 47:12, which talks about first fruits and healing. It also shares God's intention that in the earth, the fruit, it's leaves and the water HE created and supply is for his flock to survive in the purest form. I thank HIM for that knowledge and wisdom for the rest of my life. It also confirms (in my spirit) that we are very definitely spiritual beings sent into the earth through metamorphosis and that we, transition in three ways. One, being born. Two, a demise and three, by the renewing of the mind. Romans 12:2 and Ephesians 4:23. We're also learned to sow seeds of faith within the realms of what touches our hearts, sharing it and making a difference in the world. We're all created and empowered to connect with the Divine source. The experiences are tried and true . Five miraculous meditations to assist you in your journey. 1. Withdraw (Find or create a quiet place) 2. Wait (Psalm 46) 3. Read the Word (Don't always look for a voice, look for verse, a visual in mind) 4. Write (What God teaches, Insight) 5. Review (Test Ways to see if an impression or idea is from the Divine, Line It Up with the Word) Sowing seeds of radical Faith..... ~ Design Image Credit http://digital.vpr.net/people/annie-pruitt |
